For my Carteret County friends and neighbors… do you have plans yet to view the eclipse? It’s not too late! The National Park Service has a fantastic program planned at two sites in the county:
- Cape Lookout National Seashore’s Beaufort Visitor Infomation Center (GPS location: 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516)
- Harkers Island Visitor Center (GPS location: 1800 Island Road, Harkers Island, NC 28531)
Wherever you are viewing, be safe! Be sure you have the appropriate eyewear for viewing. The peak here on the Crystal Coast is 2:49 pm.
