The 2017 Great Solar Eclipse is hours away!

For my Carteret County friends and neighbors… do you have plans yet to view the eclipse? It’s not too late! The National Park Service has a fantastic program planned at two sites in the county:

  • Cape Lookout National Seashore’s Beaufort Visitor Infomation Center (GPS location: 701 Front Street, Beaufort, NC 28516)
  • Harkers Island Visitor Center (GPS location: 1800 Island Road, Harkers Island, NC 28531)

Wherever you are viewing, be safe! Be sure you have the appropriate eyewear for viewing. The peak here on the Crystal Coast is 2:49 pm.
